Important Notice – Closure of Golden Lodges Rauris
It is with great regret that we must inform you that the Golden Lodges Rauris aparthotel has been closed by the property owners with immediate effect.
As the operating company, we were taken completely by surprise by this course of action and confronted with a situation whose scope and consequences could not have been foreseen. The start of the season had been fully prepared as scheduled for 18 December 2025, and your stay was planned to proceed without disruption. However, due to the sudden termination of the contractual basis for operating the property, hotel operations were abruptly and unexpectedly brought to an end from the operator’s perspective.
As various and sometimes conflicting accounts of the situation are currently circulating, we would like to clarify the events from the operator’s point of view and provide you with a transparent overview.
Background of the Situation
The origins of the current situation date back to the end of 2024. At that time, the operating company was running a very successful hotel operation. However, unresolved financial matters had existed since the commencement of operations in 2022, relating to claims still outstanding in favor of the operating company of the Golden Lodges Rauris aparthotel.
Due to serious and ongoing disputes between three parties – namely the project developer, the apartment owners, and the operating company – a number of civil law issues could only have been resolved through legal proceedings. Irrespective of these pending court cases, several key parties involved became insolvent, which led to the suspension of the ongoing legal proceedings.
As a result of these complex circumstances, combined with acts that interfered with possession and effectively brought hotel operations to a standstill, the operating company itself was inevitably drawn into insolvency proceedings.
On 18 December 2025, the insolvency administrator responsible for the operating company informed us that the existing contracts were being terminated. As a consequence, the operating company was indirectly deprived of the commercial property. From that point onward, we were no longer permitted to enter the hotel premises or to carry out any activities as operator.
Subsequently, all existing bookings were carefully reported to the insolvency administrator in order to determine the further course of action. Due to the legal framework, the operating company is now bound by instructions and no longer has any influence over operational or administrative matters.
What Does This Mean in Practice?
- We no longer have any authority, access, or control over the hotel.
- All matters are now handled exclusively by the insolvency administrator.
- At present, we are neither legally permitted nor practically able to take further action, even though we would expressly wish to do so.
Within the limits of what was legally possible, we attempted to inform all guests. However, many reservations were made via external booking platforms. These platforms have also been duly notified.
Important Information
Unfortunately, some individuals are using the current situation to disseminate inaccurate or misleading information.
We sincerely hope that a new operating company can be appointed as soon as possible, enabling guests to be accommodated after all. We have taken all steps within our power to facilitate a potential restart.

Final Notice
As the former operating company, we will initiate legal action to assert claims for damages against the responsible individuals and organizations. We hope that this may help to mitigate at least part of the financial losses incurred by those affected.
Further information on the progress of these matters will be collected and communicated uniformly to all concerned parties. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to respond to individual emails.
